Hey there! I’m Cath Hak, and welcome to Sex Ed Rescue. On my website and YouTube channel, I help parents find a better way to talk to their kids about sex. Today, I want to show you something really cool: my cards that can help you have those important conversations about naming private body parts with your kids.

Now, I know there are tons of books out there that tackle this topic, but sometimes parents feel a bit unsure about which book to choose. They worry that it might have too much or too little information, and they’re not sure where to draw the line. That’s why I’ve teamed up with an artist to create these awesome cards. They’re pretty big, so bear with me as I show you around!

We’ve got a bunch of cards featuring children from different backgrounds, some in wheelchairs, some on crutches, all to promote inclusivity and diversity. And hey, some of them might have long hair and dresses, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re girls. These cards are great for starting conversations about gender and challenging assumptions.

Next, let’s take a look at the female cards. We’ve got three levels: level one shows just a little bit of the outside of the vulva, level two gives a bit more detail, and level three shows even more. Of course, every vulva is unique, and it’s important for kids to understand that. I’m actually working on a resource that will explore the different variations in more detail, so stay tuned for that!

Now, onto the male cards. We’ve got different levels here too, starting with just a glimpse of the penis and bottom, then moving on to more detailed images. We even have separate cards for circumcised and intact penises, so you can choose what you’re comfortable showing your child. And don’t worry, the sizes are all small and age-appropriate. We’ve also included cards featuring bottoms and anuses because kids are naturally curious about their bodies.

Finally, we have some simplified diagrams of the inside parts. These diagrams focus on the parts that kids are most interested in, like the testicles, bladder, and tubes. We’ve included child-friendly definitions and labels for all the diagrams, so you can help your child understand the names of each part.

These cards are a great tool for starting conversations and providing information in a way that’s accessible and age-appropriate. And guess what? They’re available as an ebook too, so you can easily access them on your tablet or e-reader.

I hope this gives you a good idea of what these cards are all about. Maybe one day I’ll put them in a book, but for now, I love that parents can have a say in how they use these cards. Remember, it’s all about finding what works best for you and your family.

Cheers, and happy conversations!
