Just Feel: How to be stronger, happier, healthier and more by Malika Chopra is one of the few books for older kids about feelings. Most of the books written about feelings tend to target younger children. So it is a nice change to see a book that targets an older age group. Especially since puberty can be a time when feelings become volatile or new feelings (like sexual feelings) begin to emerge!

So this is a beautiful book that helps kids to understand their feelings ie to problem solve, harness inner strength, and gain grit and emotional awareness.

Hey there! I’m Cath Hak, and welcome to Sex Ed Rescue. On my YouTube channel, Sex Ed Rescue, I share a bunch of videos, mostly book reviews. There are so many amazing books out there that can help us talk to kids about those tricky topics. Feelings, in particular, is a topic that ties in with sexuality. Right now, I don’t have a specific topic for feelings, but I’m working on it. There are just so many books out there about feelings! It feels like a new one comes out every week. One book I want to talk about is Just Feel by Malika Chopra. It’s a great resource for tweens and early teens.

This book is all about learning to be in tune with your feelings, working on problem-solving, and finding inner strength to be happier. Your feelings are powerful, and they can affect your mood and how you handle different situations in life. It’s important to learn how to identify your feelings, express your needs, and make choices that align with the life you want. I’ve been trying to get my 14-year-old to read this book, but she’s been rolling her eyes at me lately. I guess that’s just part of being a teenager! Anyway, I wanted to share this book with you because it’s a gem. The images are stunning, and the content is really helpful. It’s not easy to review such a big book in a video, but I wanted to make sure you knew about it. There aren’t many books out there for tweens and young teens on this topic. Most of them are picture books for younger kids, so it’s great to see a book that’s perfect for older children who want something more than just pictures.
