Let’s talk about Brave Night by Cath Laws and Alicia Moore. Now, this isn’t your typical book. It was actually written specifically to teach kids about protective behaviors because there weren’t many books on that topic.
Brave Night is all about what to do when you find yourself in an unsafe situation. It follows the story of a kid who is looking for his friend, a brave eagle. He starts worrying about what would happen if the eagle got lost and couldn’t find its way home. The kid knows what to do if he gets lost, but does the eagle? What if someone tries to hurt the eagle or catch it? Does the eagle know how to protect itself?
