Hey there! I’m Cath Hak, and welcome to Sex Ed Rescue, where I share my thoughts on a bunch of books about feelings and sex education. It’s important to talk about emotions when it comes to sex ed, and that’s why I picked up this book.

This book is actually aimed at slightly older kids, which is a nice change. Sometimes, as kids grow up, it’s hard to get them to sit down and read a book with you. So it’s great to find something a bit more entertaining, like this comic-style book. I really love it because it has a touch of humor.

Let me show you what I mean. The book starts off with a simple statement: I have feelings. And then it goes on to explore how feelings can sometimes be invisible, like you can’t see or smell them. It tells little stories about different situations where feelings can get hurt. For example, there’s a story about going to a party and feeling jealous when someone else gets praised for something you wish you could do. It’s relatable and shows that we all have different reactions to situations.

There’s also a scary story and one about feeling jealous and angry. The book gives lots of examples to help kids understand different feelings. It even has a powerful illustration of an outburst, where someone is so angry they start blurting out words. It really captures the intensity of anger.

I think this book is great for starting conversations about feelings with slightly older children. It’s visually appealing and can help them recognize and understand their own emotions. It shows that it’s normal to feel different things in different situations.

Honestly, I liked this book so much that I might just keep it for myself instead of giving it away. It’s a valuable resource for helping kids navigate their emotions.

I hope you found this review helpful. Cheers!
