Hey there, it’s Cath from Sex Ed Rescue! Today, I want to talk about this awesome book called Talk Sex Today by Saleema Noon and Meg Hickling. Now, Meg Hickling has been a well-known sex educator for a long time, and she actually released a book ages ago. Unfortunately, you can’t find it in stores anymore unless your local library happens to have a copy. But don’t worry, Saleema Noon, who is like Meg’s protege, updated the book and it’s been republished!

Let me tell you, this book is a big one. I was lucky enough to get my hands on it, but I have to admit, it’s not the cheapest book out there. Luckily, I requested it from my local library and they ordered a copy. They must have a big budget for buying books, which is great!

Now, this book covers a lot of important topics. What I really love about it is that it breaks down what you need to know and what you can talk to your children about as they grow up. It starts with the younger kids and goes all the way up to adolescents. It covers everything from basic sexual information to managing media and the internet, consent, gender stereotypes, relationships, and even talking to kids with special needs. It’s jam-packed with valuable information!

The book is organized really well, with different sections for different age groups. I’ve seen this kind of breakdown in other resources too, so it’s definitely a helpful way to approach the topic. It even has handwritten questions from real people throughout the book, which adds a personal touch.

I have to admit, it’s a bit challenging to review such a big book in a video, but trust me, it’s worth checking out. If you go on Amazon, you can actually take a peek inside and get a good idea of what the content is like. As a sex educator myself, I think this book is a valuable resource. It covers all the important topics and provides up-to-date information on gender, online safety, sexting, and more. It was published in late 2016, so it’s pretty recent.

So, to sum it up, if you’re looking for a comprehensive guide on how to talk to your kids about sex education, this is the book to grab. It’s got all the latest research and covers important topics like gender, online safety, and healthy relationships. I highly recommend it!

Alright, that’s all for now. Sorry if this video was a bit vague, but I hope it was helpful. Take care and have a great day! Bye!
