Hey there, it’s Cath Hak from Sex Ed Rescue! Today, I want to chat with you about one of the American Girl books that can be super helpful for girls as they grow up. So, let’s dive right in!

First up, we have The Care and Keeping Of You 2. This book is all about puberty and is perfect for older girls. It covers everything from body changes to taking care of yourself. Now, for the younger girls, we have The Care and Keeping of You, the Body Book for Girls. This one focuses more on body care rather than just puberty. It even talks about shaving legs and stuff like that.

Now, let’s move on to the next book called Is This Normal? More Girls Questions Answered by the Editors of The Care and Keeping Of You. This is one of the newer versions, released in 2009 and 2015. The book is a compilation of questions that girls often ask about growing up. It’s divided into different sections like grooming and hygiene, body basics, breasts, bras, periods, moods and feelings, health and body image, and even tips for talking to parents about any worries you might have.

One of the questions they address is about hair washing during puberty. They give a helpful answer to that. And guess what? They also talk about vaginal discharge, which is totally normal and natural. They provide some suggestions on what to do if it feels uncomfortable. It’s great to see that they cover these topics and provide lots of good information.

So, should you have this book? Absolutely! If your child has lots of questions or wants more information, or if you just want to provide them with some extra knowledge, this book is a great resource to have. It may not focus solely on puberty, but it does provide valuable information and answers to the questions kids have about taking care of their changing bodies.

I hope this review helps you out. If you have any more questions, feel free to reach out. Cheers!
