Hey there! I’m Cath Hak from Sex Ed Rescue, and today I want to talk to you about a great little book that can help you have those important conversations with your kids about puberty. It’s called The Puberty Book, and it’s been trusted by Australian families for years.

Now, this book is specifically designed for boys and girls aged between nine to 14, and it’s the 6th edition. Can you believe it? I actually had one of the very first versions, and guess what? The images inside are pretty much the same as the ones in the old version I had. So, it’s been around for over 20 years, but they did update it last year in 2016.

The book is set up like a chapter book, which is just one of the many styles you can find when it comes to books about puberty. Some have lots of words and a few diagrams, while others are more like magazines with colorful pictures and illustrations. The Puberty Book is about 200 pages long and even has an index at the back, so you can easily find specific topics like pornography if you need to.

Now, it’s important to note that this book focuses solely on puberty and isn’t a comprehensive sex education manual. It was written by a woman who used to work for Family Planning Queensland, a leading organization in sex education in Queensland and Australia.

The book covers a wide range of topics, including what’s happening to both boys’ and girls’ bodies, relationships, communication, self-care, and even a bit about sex and how pregnancy happens. You see, when it comes to books for young kids, sometimes they need to talk about sex because puberty is all about growing up and becoming an adult. It’s just a natural part of our evolution as humans.

There are many books out there about puberty, and it’s hard to review them all in detail. But I can tell you that I’ve received recommendations from several peers who think The Puberty Book is absolutely fantastic. Of course, personal taste plays a big role in choosing the right book for you and your child.

I hope this gives you a good overview of what The Puberty Book has to offer. If you want more information, feel free to check out my channel where I’ve organized all the puberty books I’ve reviewed. Trust me, there are a lot of them! And hey, if you have any more questions, don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m here to help.

Alright, it’s almost time for me to pick up my kids from school, and even my dog is being surprisingly quiet today. What a nice change! I hope this was helpful for you. Take care and bye for now!
