Online sex education resources for kids

If you’re a parent looking for online sex education, then you’re not alone, as it’s a sensitive topic that is easier to learn about in the privacy of your own home. 

Plus many parents live in places where face-to-face sex education training isn’t available. Which means online education (about sex education) is the only resource to turn to. 

In this blog post, you’ll find online sex education suitable for children and their parents. Most of it is instantly accessible, with some being offered as a live webinar.

Online puberty classes

Hee’s some of the online sexual education workshops or classes that I managed to find.

What’s the Big Deal about Puberty is an Australian two-hour online workshop for 9 to 12 hours. It has instant access and a workbook to use. I bribed my son to watch it with me, and much to my surprise he actually enjoyed it!

The Chat from the USA is a 5 part online live webinar that parents and their 9-12 yo child attend together. This long-running program is very popular with parents and include a workbook, a puberty book for your child, and a live 45-60 live video session for 5 weeks. You can also book it at EventBrite.com.

Talking about Puberty is another Australian online sex education program for tweens and their parents. It is suitable for 8-12 year old children, and includes 13 animated teaching videos that cover puberty basics, reproductive body parts, body changes, periods, hygiene, body safety and more. 

Don’t forget to have a look at my online puberty videos resource, as it includes free online videos that teach kids about puberty and growining up.

Another resource to consider is Outschool as they have live puberty classes for tweens and teens. But I do hear mixed feedback about this platform. Some parents love it, and some parents hate it. If you do look for a live puberty class on Outschool, make sure you read the reviews before making a decision. 

Sex education classes online

I’ve managed a couple of sex online education classes for kids.

A Kid’s Guide to Bodies and Babies is an Australian one-hour online workshop for 7 to 12 year olds about bodies, body safety. reproduction, birth and more. You’ll have instant access on purchasing and it includes a workbook to help keep your child engaged. 

The Amazing True Story of How Babies are Made TV is a humorous Australian online cartoon and course, that explains how babies are made (including sex). You can either watch the cartoon or grab the family kit with activities and more information.

You will also find more online sex education videos, as well as online porn & internet safety videos. Many of these videos will be useful for teaching sex education online (to kids).
