There are some fantastic children’s books about pornography to help parents start having safe conversations with children of all ages, from as young as 4, and as old as 14.

The best way to empower our children against porn is with knowledge, like what porn is, why it isn’t safe for children, and what to do when they see it.

And books, like what you’ll find in this list, are a great way to start a shame-free conversation with your child about online pornography!

The easiest way to start this awkward conversation is with age-appropriate children’s books. Surprisingly enough, I was able to find a few books that do talk about online porn. But there aren’t many of them, so many of the books in this list are internet safety books that also talk about porn.

The books in this list are about online pornography. Books about internet safety, social media safety, media literacy and sexting are in separate book lists.

New books for children about porn safety are sometimes published, so please contact me if you know of a book that should be included in this list.

You can find more children’s books to keep kids safe on the internet + prevent porn exposure, in the main list.

If you’re looking for more internet safety and online porn resources, then don’t forget to visit my Pornography 101 page.

NOTE: Before passing any book to your child or reading it with them, you should read it yourself first. I might think it is a great book for a certain age child or that the information is valuable, but you may disagree. Try to choose books that reflect your values and the messages you want your child to receive.

All of the ages are visible, regardless of whether they’re relevant (or not). If no books appear for your chosen age, then it means there aren’t any relevant books.
