Sex education books for babies and toddlers

mother reading book to a baby

Now, I’ve only just started this list of books. So over the next few months, more books will be added.

So sex education books for babies….

Yes, it may sound a little strange, but there are some fantastic books that you can use for laying down the foundations early. Where you’ll start talking about bodies and body safety, consent, relationships, feelings and being safe. You’ll even find a first book about where babies come from.

And if you’re a little unsure about what you could be talking about, then have a look at my age-specific guide to sex education.

You will only find books in this list that are readily available at bookshops today.

Now, if you reach a point of overwhelm, then you’ll want to have a look at my list of favourite sex education books. These are the books that I always seem to be recommending to parents. CLICK HERE to look at the 10 best sex education books. And you can find more books about different topics in the main list of Sex Education Books for Children.

If you want to learn more about getting started with sex education for babies and toddlers, then you should look at these age-specific sex education guides for newborns and babies, 1 year olds and 2 year olds.

You’ll find more information about sex education in my Sex Education 101 page.

NOTE: Before passing any book to your child or reading the book with your child, you should read it yourself first. I might think it is a great book for a certain age child or that the information is valuable, but you may disagree. You need to choose books that reflect your values and the messages you want your child to receive.

Oh, and please do let me know if you know of a book to be added to this list!

Happy reading!
